This is a relay testing post, please ignore. *beep*

I’m at peace with the fact that I’m not a (professional) farmer anymore -

hopefully I’m still one at heart. This was something I knew was coming

for more than two years now, and that has given me enough time to

process everything. In the meantime I’ve already had the pleasure to

experience the life of a normal person, one who works for a wage. And

this has also lead to some interesting conclusions.

Apple is always at the forefront of any trend, even when the trend is really old ;-)

They also have another video called "A Guided Tour of Apple Vision Pro". Almost 10 minutes, but I only watched the first minute or so. Couldn't help but laugh when one of the actors exclaims, very excited "You can see my eyes????" So glad for this technological breakthrough.

Apple has a 81 second video about how they make their new "Apple Vision Pro". I'm very happy to report that there's hardly any humans in there - maybe 3 seconds total of hands being shown. Everything else is just pure Machine. I like this kind of honest marketing.

"This failure of the institutions we have to provide us with even a

modicum of moral guidance about our relationship with the Machine is one

of the greatest tragedies of our times." https://blog.assilvestrar.club/posts/reflections-on-a-suburban-train/

That's probably his main modus operandi, yes. But he should have other tools in his arsenal I guess

109MB, seems like. A bit surprised, guess I will have to configure some kind of purge eventually

Good morning fellow plebs, a new version of coracle awaits. Lots of quality-of-life improvements, mostly centered around a re-write of routing. The result is that you can share deep links and coracle will automatically convert the modal content to a page. Let me know if this is too confusing, but I think it'll work well in practice.

Also in this release: performance improvements, WoT threshold, an option to show muted/hidden replies, an option to hide replies on feeds, and more music in the player.

One of the best things is that nevent/nprofile is now used whenever possible, making links you share more likely to load for someone with different relay selections than you.

Is there a way to check which version I'm running? I'm using coracle as a PWA, and I've forced the update - so I'm pretty sure I'm running the latest version now; but it would still be nice to have a way to check. Very nice app btw :-)

If we want to get technical, yes, some software - but given how prevalent that "some software" is, it's pretty much synonymous with computers nowadays :-)

Einstein is credited with saying "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." He clearly has never worked with computers. Then again, maybe this is the confirmation that we live in insane times.

Being modern is adding complexity to one's life for the sake of expediency, and then wondering where it all went so wrong

You can say that again, bud

For now I'm just using snort, still need to explore all the different clients more. Eventually I'd like to run a relay as well, but one step at a time I guess :-)

First nostr post, let's see how this goes
