Anyone good a clue as to what this might be? It has a USB-C socket in one end and a plug on the other. I can't get it to show up on a Linux USB bus when connected to either end. If I interpose it between an Android phone and a Linux computer, it shows up to neither, nor does power appear to flow either way.

Seems to be either a N/C adaptor and/or broken.
