Welcome Kelli! Don't forget to add a lightning address so you can receive satoshis, which is the smallest unit of a Bitcoin. You can receive it for a post, a comment, with a podcast and many more :-)
It's all value4value:
Decentralization and censorship resistance are based, but wait until creators find out that nostr:nprofile1qqsrpl96thl42ve0gsah63ypz75uunzpgfrd0g2x8nry4ggtef6crdgpzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ucpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghx67t0wahxgctddehx7er99e3k7mgljk58c's first note has earned him almost $1,000. A value for value based circular economy is sexy as fuck.
How can you see how much he's received for that post? I saw only around 300K sats.
Yes, public payments infrastructure is critical because it's for everyone.
Wow, that is insane!
Nostr is becoming way more resilient and flexible than I could ever imagine.
Welcome to Nostr, without ads and censorship and ability to receive satoshis for everything you post with value4value (https://value4value.info)
I see you haven't added a lightning address. Adding that will also give you a different experience. Do you know how to set it up?
Wowzers. I would play "Vangelis - Wait for me" from the Blade Runner soundtrack.
I would give it the benefit of the doubt and try it out. I think you'll create more high quality connections here. Try the value for value model. See https://value4value.info
Also try out https://stacker.news
Where you can also receive satoshis for your content or just comments with a value4value model.
Here is a secure way to create a new nostr account.
Amber can create a nostr public and private key. These are called npub and nsec. You give out your npub and keep your nsec safe.
Amber is an Android nostr signer that keeps your private key safe on your device, so you don't have to plug it into a bunch of nostr apps you want to log in and try.
Open Amber and add new account.

Name the account and give it a password. Save the password.

Download your backup with the seed words.

Choose your permission level and connect over Tor using Orbot app.

Now you can download any nostr client that uses nip46 or nip55 and sign in with Amber. Nostr clients will ask if you want to log in with Amber. Select yes and Amber will open. Otherwise you can tap + in Amber and this menu will open to give you options including nsecbunker.

Amber signs your actions with your private key. This is cryptographically verifying you are the one taking the action.
Amber is available here by nostr:nprofile1qqs827g8dkd07zjvlhh60csytujgd3l9mz7x807xk3fewge7rwlukxgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7auvdel

Welcome to #nostr #introductions
Thank you for the tutorial!
Very true. Most people I speak actually find it important that the government takes cars of everything, while at the same time they can't see that almost everything the government touches it's destroying it.
Fantastic video Joe! This couldn't come at a better timing. I had convinced a young adult to buy bitcoin. Then he asked me to look into onyxcoin because the price was rising fast. As I was typing a large reply, I saw your video. After watching I immediately shared it. Great work from you and Giacomo!
Or give them a command that makes them do a very costly computation and that they will get stuck in a loop.
This looks amazing and it's FOSS :-) I'm going to try this out soon. Also the roadmap looks very promising.
"Money is how we solve transacting with someone we don't trust with whom we don't have a coincidence of wants. People aren't, by default, trustworthy, and money allowed is to do business with people we don't trust. Money is built for distrust. Bitcoin of just a better form of it."

Anyone knows who said this? I archived it, but forgot to note the author's name.
Black money and black markets don't exist. They only exist in the eyes of a government. Other than that, it's just broken money and free markets.
I hate every website that uses Google reCaptcha.
When you're using a vpn, you often get penalized by solving bullshit image questions that take so long, that I wonder of they will even let you through.
Can you isolate cookies with Brave and Chomium? If so, I would really like to know how. I've b been using it in Firefox with their Multicontainer extension, but I would like to use it in other browsers.
This is a fantastic example of how much money you've lost to taxes and especially your time, which you'll never get back.
This is an amazing project! Thank you for sharing.
In the docs I read e-cash is accepted. I hope Lightning payments also.
