The hardest part about loving others more than yourself is the continuous realization that people’s hearts are jaded and they hate you for things beyond your control… I love them anyway.

Since moving to ES, I’ve learned that my presence as a black woman is extremely uncomfortable to expats… especially those in El Zonte. I love them anyway but it’s hard. I’ve been shoved, ignored, and watched my husband get crazy looks for being with me.

The locals however are so warm, welcoming, and friendly. They love openly just as I do and I’m grateful for that. I catch myself thinking about Jesus and all the people that missed him because of confirmation biases they created in their small circles of like mindedness.

As a bitcoiner and a nostrich, I find myself at a huge impasse. I believe in Bitcoin and how it can help my people & all people but I’m not Jesus. I can evangelize about it, practice what I preach, and set an example but that only goes so far. Bitcoiners are gonna have to soften their hearts in order to help those in need… not just in ES but as a whole. I’m sick of going to conferences/events and getting mistreated by people who have less than me but think they have more because - society 🙃🙄

It really hurts to think that black people are hated simply because people don’t wanna get to know us… or think they know enough because of media portrayals.

I choose to love everyone regardless and I pray that GOD show us all mercy. We were all created in his image therefore we are all deserving of love, respect, and kindness.
