I don’t exist

We’re talking millions of dollars. You can honestly say you’d give up millions of dollars and go back to work as a wage slave to survive rather than use a custodian?

It’s an interesting thought experiment to imagine if your government gave you 30 days to move your cold storage bitcoin to a regulated custodian or risk penalty, and more importantly, never be able to spend it. For those of us with a significant portion of our net worth in cold storage it would be a hard decision. There is a path where you wait it out and hope the laws become more favorable at some point but I can’t say what I’d do in that situation. I’d obviously hate to do it but I’d hate being a lot poorer too.

My nephew lead a mission into rural North Carolina to airlift supplies to those in the greatest need. He’s 20 years old. Folks on the ground report FEMA is MIA. America is its people, not its government. P2P America in action!!

Pretty, pretty pain cave in the pain cave.

If you want to know what Finn is looking for, it’s trouble.

Seeing the world through the villain’s POV adds to the complexity of the moral decisions made by the villain and creates a richer story. It’s fun to imagine Star Wars from the POV of Vader. He’s trying to end the fighting and restore order to the galaxy and then his kid, who was taken and hidden from him by his best friend and mentor, shows up and throws a wrench it. It’s a simple arc in that he realizes terror and power isn’t the way to keep order but we’ve all fantasized about being all powerful and making the universe work the way we think it should.

I knew a man who lived through WWII in Germany. He said he was amazed at how many people were not only ok with Jewish ghettos, but supported them. There were some who didn’t and tried to speak out but they were few. Same vibe.

That doesn’t look like corn to me. “High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a liquid sweetener derived from corn starch that's made through wet milling.”

Yeah I don’t care for a blow-by-blow, literally, but I’d rather know what the POV character is feeling. Is he confident, numb with terror, confused as to why this is happening, determined, etc.? Or is he moving through emotions as the situation progresses? Action scenes are a good chance to flesh out a character. In The Godfather (book and film) when Michael is confronted at the hospital by men who came to kill his father, he lights a cigarette for Enzo the baker and notices his hand is steady though it was a very intense situation. Enzo on the other hand can barely even smoke it he’s shaking so badly. That’s maybe more suspense than action but the scene moves the story while also building Michael’s character.

In that you’ll be wealthier than most and are more likely to be on the right side of the winners/losers line, I’d say so. Also if you are talking about it from a Techno-Capitalist angle decentralization makes that power structure harder to maintain.
