I create Fediverse software that empowers people online. I'm vegan btw. Note: If you have a question for me, please tag me publicly. This gives the opportunity for others to chime in, and bystanders to learn.

It takes bravery to delete code... but sometimes that's what a project needs.

Very interesting.

Admins on ActivityPub are little dictators. They will ban you for saying one thing they disagree with, then your whole account is gone forever. Nostr lets you move freely. That's critical. It's a game changer.

My running theory that the Nostr sign-in flow should feel like an IKEA effect. The user should feel like they're making conscious choices to have freedom and control online. Otherwise what's the point.

Guys, let's quit Nostr. I just found the ultimate solution for auth.

Ah the two genders.

>software is slow

>add performance analyzer

>identify and fix slow queries

>somehow even slower than before

>it was the performance analyzer

Between tofu, tempeh, and seitan, seitan is the most desirable and tofu is the least desirable. So don't eat tofu and then think vegan sucks.

Alright. I figured it out. I think after Mastodon had that security vulnerability they changed how they fetch data. I needed to parse the Accept header correctly to not redirect Mastodon to njump.me. It's fixed in Mastodon now.

JSX is great, but React components suck. I want to write async code in the render function and use conditional hooks.

Yep relay.mostr.pub is still strfry
