I didn't realize this band has been around 40 years 😮 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vowsMsB6hbw
Are there any good non-spyware alternatives to Google maps? Haven't been too happy with OsmAnd, especially the lack of address data in OpenStreetMap.
If they're lefties tell them it's like Twitter where Elon can't ban anyone. If they're righties say it's like Twitter where Vijaya can't ban anyone.
Amethyst is buggy to the point of being unusable for me now (follow counts are going nuts and people keep disappearing from feeds). Not sure what happened.
#[0] My follows / followers (why would it affect followers too?) get nuked every time I upgrade Amethyst. Any ideas as to the cause?
I think so, it's been about ten minutes
Upgraded Amethyst and I supposedly have zero followers again
Upgraded to latest Amethyst. How do I zap people now?
Everyone has already opted into 4MB blocks so I don't think this can be an argument. The only argument is "this is illegitimate use of block space."
I feel this might already be possible using things like replies and likes, which are kind of like implicit reputation in a way. Someone would just have to figure out how to measure it from those things.
Had to logout then back in. Could be a bug when upgrading? cc #[2]
Yeah my point is that this is just how paying for stuff works. You don't always get what you pay for, and markets tend to sort these kinds of things out, especially when what's being sold is a commodity (relays are easily commoditized).
Reputation will build organically and risk of being scammed seems very low to me given the small price people will be willing to pay for spam filtering.
It's true that paid relays can lie, but I feel the market should sort itself out. It doesn't have the same allure as an altcoin because there's no concept of a relay going "to the moon." You just might get decent speed and low spam, which is actually quite boring and not something people will put a ton of money into.
Essentially what makes altcoins so nefarious is that there's a greater fool theory at work that can end up justifying any price. This isn't the case in most markets, including ones for relays.

The nice thing about DCA is the emotional hedge. Higher price means existing stack is worth more but you also have to pay more tomorrow. Lower price means stack is worth less but you get a discount tomorrow.
I sometimes enjoy the global feed more than my own personal feed now, thanks #[0]
I think inscriptions will end of being the fossils of a failed species of shitcoiner permanently buried under layers of digital time
Need a Chinese girls relay
Oh hmm. I must have missed that when I checked.
