A Canadian politics post.

Dong is now an independent. He had to make this move.

Trudeau is a lame duck PM. There is no way he can continue on without the Chinese interference creating a circus in Question Period and wherever he goes in public.

The problem is that he cannot step down with an easy transition of power to the next person. This process takes time. Normally they need to book a convention, select delegates, nominees declare, debates, etc. They would need to forgo this process and allow sitting Liberals to decide the next leader.

The problem I see is that there is no break in the Question Period schedule until July. The summer break may give them enough time to figure things out internally, and showcase the new leader. This will come with a lot of backlash since it wasn't done in the typical fashion.

One way around this is to prorogue parliament, but this won't solve much. I suspect they may do this as a way to stop the PROC investigation, allow for Johnston to present his findings, and go from there to try and restore confidence in the PM and the election process. It likely won't work.

Another variable to consider is Singh. He could demand a lot more now given that the Liberals are looking very weak at the moment, and anything he requests will be given a lot of thought.

We are in for an eventful few months in Canadian politics. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

We need less politics in our lives, and the only way to trend that way is to have less policies affecting our lives.

The minimal amount of governance is the best amount of governance.

As this rent seeking class rules every aspect of our lives, we must keep playing the game and affect outcomes towards the ones with a preference-set least detrimental to us.

- Full political apathy is dumb, you get captured.

- Voting is dumb, you don’t count because it’s rigged.

- Money maters, giving politicians cover maters, shaping public perception maters, supporting policy “think tanks” and lobbying maters.

But ultimately, separating state and money with bitcoin is our best chance.

Canada's intelligence agency has reported that Chinese interference was detected in the 2019 and 2021 elections. Nothing will come out of this aside from a few press conferences saying that Canada's democracy has not, and is not, at risk.

Yet when bouncy castles are put up, that is a risk to democracy.

The game is rigged and they treat us like pawns.
