Our goal: Keep the smooth Alby Hub experience of connecting apps of your choice, but make it even easier for new users to jump in.
So we tried something a bit more nostr-native: an Android Foreground Service!
This lets us maintain a persistent WebSocket connection without needing push notification services.
It is running on a #Cashu wallet and could also play nicely with #Ark or #Spark!
We do many experiments like this one to see if the idea is viable.
As it helps to shape our direction going forward we'd love to know: Would run Alby Hub as an Foreground Service on Android? 🔋📲
