Good morning Mr Odell!!

I have a topic request if possible, not sure I can do it in the live chat!

Utxo/fee management.

We need the ability to have multiple people opening multiple LN channels from external wallets. So far I have only seen Satbase/BalanceOfSatoshi.

There you can batch but it's only your channel openings. If you only want to open 1/2 channels, this batching has only saved 1-3 on-chain transactions. If multiple people (say 50) wanted to all open 1 channel each, then a service with multiple people partially signing would save close to 100 on-chain transactions.

Much love!!

Sad sad sad. The left is very good at stealing names and brands. For example the words liberal, anarchy, punk, etc.

In country you are unfortunately seeing the same.... These people who like the sound but not the culture/ideology and completely hijack it.

I'm sad I missed the meetup last week

Hi all! I'm hopefully buying an old HP 800g3 sff this weekend.

I'm not the best with CLI/SSH so I'm skeptical on only installing Debian SSH server. I'm looking at CasaOS to supplement that. My question is can (and more importantly, should) I install Bitcoin Core and CLN on the base Debian server install (try out SSH) , or should I custom install them as a docker in CasaOS?

PS: other things I'll have on my homelab will be Nextcloud, homeassistant, maybe file sharing (docs and photos, but not Plex/jellyfin)

Thank you

Good afternoon Nostr!

I'm thinking that Tor is:

-too complicated for my wife (doesn't want that on her iphone)

- offline too often for my Lightning node

With that in mind, I'm looking for a cheap mini PC to load Linux server , or #NixOS. I want:

-NextCloud/Owncloud (Caldav cardav)

-Bitcoin Core node (no pruning)

-CLN

-BTCPay server

My question: what's the best value for money / minimum requirements that I'm looking at? I'm hoping to get a recycled mini PC that a corporation has no longer use for...

I was able to download and install nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 on my (degoogled) Android in Sweden. Either their location based filter doesn't work for de-goofled phones, or Strike is now allowed to operate in Sweden?? This could be awesome!

I cannot wait until Bisq v2 is up and running.

I'm surprised at the amount of people who don't spend and replace to nurture the bitcoin circular economy. With bisq2 (or robosats) it will be seemless to spend and replace. Spent this many sats? Buy them back instantly via lightning. No more huge trade sizes to account for on-chain fees.

Oh the sats you spent were at a discount because the merchant prefers bitcoin? Even better!

#question #asknostr what open source 2FA application should i use for GitHub? My work demands i use one.

Thanks!

On the other hand you want to be in the top 1% of your demographic (or discount anyone below the age of 18).

Even so, considering your point that whales skew the value needed downwards, it should around our below 0.5 BTC

85 minutes since the last block was mined! I need my whirlpool to go through cos I need to spend some bitcoin ASAP 😃

At this point, it is a foreign currency, due to El Salvador.

So what happens in countries in South America where the Dollar is severely restricted? There's a black market for it. Bitcoin's properties make it even easier (then the Dollar, which thrives) to survive under a ban

Oh, amazing, thank you!

I see many advantages with that, then. Only disadvantage may be the peace of mind that f-droid/Google have vetted it, but like you say, that comes with centralisation..
