I have a homeschool class of 32 students coming this weekend to learn about beekeeping. I plan on grabbing a few baby drones the day before, for them to handle in class. Then I will finish the class with a tasting of 6 different types of honey.

just posted a note about our solar setup for fence training pasture pigs behind knee high electric fence. we are Iowa's oldest registered Ipps breeder.
The battery is not shown in this picture but this cheap solar set up has worked well for us, when trying to run a constant on (non pulsator)e-fence, which we use to train our pasture piglets on.
The issue is, no one as far as I know makes a DC constant on shock box, which is needed to train piglets as they can time the pulse. Once trained, you can keep a 400lbs boar behind two strands of normal e fence with a normal box. No need to put up Hog panels for pasture pigs.
In the bottom picture you can see the bottom 3rd line, this is the only line that is hooked up to the constant on box. We turn it off when the pigs get bigger as its hard to maintain year around do to ease of grounding out.

3rd different type of wooden wick up for testing. Many people just add coconut butter to there beeswax mix to make it burn well but I really have no interest in any candle that is not pure beeswax.
