My grandma maggie passed this morning. I love this painting she did from a photograph of me at the beach, too afraid to get in the waves. I miss her already.

My toddler puked three times so far tonight, spaced just far enough apart that our guard is down each time .... Im running out of towels and sheets, fellas.
who wants 10,000 sats?
over the last 5 years or so I've been giving away giant sequoia tree saplings to anyone who will plant them. I've probably given away a couple hundred so far, many at bitcoin meetups near me, others I've mailed. i've sent seeds internationally. i have no idea how many of the trees are still alive. hopefully more than a few.
i started buying my dad these trees for father's day about a decade ago and it's become a great inter-generational project for our family as we try to keep them alive and imagine what they might become someday. it's cool to think that they should still be here when my unborn grandkids are themselves grandparents. our family's land has a healthy grove of 21 sequoias.
when bitcoin clicked for me, its seemed obvious that other bitcoiners would also understand the value of starting a project which would take many hundreds of years to mature. i've found that to be mostly true.
i would love to continue doing this but i think i've exhausted the supply of low time preference junkies within driving distance of me and i find packing/mailing trees to be a hassle
so, if you can prove to me that you are a real human and that you bought and planted a giant sequoia tree i will zap you to cover the cost, plus a little tip for joining my quixotic quest to endow our distant descendants with a more beautiful world (in case you didn't know, sequoias can live for thousands of years and can grow to nearly 30 feet in diameter...so choose your location wisely!). the offer stands for the first 21 people to post a pic of their tree planted in the ground. i reserve the right to not zap you if i think you're a bot or if you're posting a picture from the internet
the nursery linked below ships anywhere in the US. For people elsewhere, do some googling, I'm sure you can figure something out.

I love the quiet hum of my #bitaxe nostr:npub1k8s3skyy5mg5h07w8zvuk5lgrqadmejz7fjdpl60zaznw8sxzdxqxm6y88

We are all just out here trying to build an integrated system on half an acre, where we can stack sats and raise our family.

Im so grateful someone captured this moment my grandma and I shared. She is a cool lady. Please say a prayer for her, if you are the praying type.

When you convince your homie to help you post hole dig, then take the supervisor position. nostr:npub1j7ggarzcs6juvzfa567lkmdtxq3rgx4fww8uqpvm80d6lt3r5sqs82yt3v
Next time you come through, stop by and have some ribeyes !
Im right between cape and St. Louis in Farmington. Lot of bitcoiners around here, it's a good place!
in southeast mo, it hasnt gotten too wild yet but starting to hear branches fall on the roof 😬
Almost got the chickens put up before the windstorm hits.
Man, considering the propaganda we were fed as kids, cool to see an engaging periodical magazine with some fun kids art -- imagine if Highlights was based
"for freedom christ has set us free; stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery"

Mostly intrigued by the discussiom of how walled gardens were built to keep warmth in your yard and help plants thrive.
In retrospect -- the CIA media cutouts were obvious. No media entrepreneur would name something "Politico"

beautifully said ... "Populist" is clearly meant to degrade the movement and align oneself with the elitist intellectual class.
I always associated it with political content so that for sure tracks. I just listened to nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyv8wumn8ghj7urjv4kkjatd9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wsqzpq35r7yzkm4te5460u00jz4djcw0qa90zku7739qn7wj4ralhe4z6d283f on citadel dispatch and he made the point that nostr needs more communities like artists and such, I think it's the same observation wrt rumble -- critical mass of varied interests needs to hit.
I haven't messed with Rumble but buddy was showing me the streaming features last night and I agree, seems like great alternatives to the google machine
