Welp. Between this and the earlier AI-"written" book, I am thisclose to recommending that we cease purchasing titles from Springer

Just learned that an OIT colleague is arguing that we should refuse to call it "generative AI" and instead call it "derivative AI", because a) accurate, and b) of the negative connotations of derivative. Makes sense to me....
