Excited about Metatext's rebirth in the form of nostr:npub1e496hx8w47y0zqjdjm6epgnf5m26rjz3d63klrdfvmqv9n4n8uhsxgagfm - I'll miss the old name but that's ok. The fact that people are still using Metatext is testimony to how good it is. I think it will be pretty easily my go to rec for a free iPhone client.

nostr:npub1mdky0njswyvy6esxh964apx9e6mmwt8am4wuqk3ds5p4xyaav2dqvlaptk oh wow! Metatext was my favorite iOS app for Mastodon. I liked it better than Ivory, but eventually had to move over because they stopped updating the app. I look forward to seeing what nostr:npub1e496hx8w47y0zqjdjm6epgnf5m26rjz3d63klrdfvmqv9n4n8uhsxgagfm with this new version and I'll keep my eye out for Feditext in the app store.

A charity food aid organization in the UK is running AI-generated images of hungry children as part of their fundraising campaigns. The images are not labeled as AI-generated and are bringing up an interesting discussion.

There are many issues surrounding "poverty porn", but many charities feel these types of images are the best way to raise funds. I imagine they see this as an ethical alternative to actual photos. I've reached out to Charity Right for comment, but haven't heard back yet.
