The “ego-centric, narcissistic character” is something that’s so apparent and yet Trump supporters just don’t seem to see it or care at all. Politics completely aside, the fact is that the only 2 realistic outcomes are complete senility or narcissistic with STRONG sociopathic tendencies. Trump supporters deny his sociopathy as fervently as Biden supporters deny his senility. Neither option is better than the other. It’s just 2 different flavors of decline.

Honestly haven’t paid any of it lol. Income based repayment plan set at $0 required payment, plus they suspended it all for a couple years during Covid. The amount has almost doubled from interest since I finished grad school in 2012 though. Eventually something will have to give but probably it will be the entire debt laden fiat system and it will all be hyperinflated away. Even though I know I’ll personally be fine in the long run, most student borrowers will never repay that debt, same as the US government.

In my defense, I didn’t have an adult brain when I took those loans. I was just doing what all the adults told me to.

I stack sats as much as I possibly can but buying a house is still the best investment I’ve made. If you don’t pay your own mortgage and property taxes you’re just paying someone else’s. I’m also not a fan of abiding by a landlord’s rules, and you can’t make any improvement on a rental without throwing the money away to upgrade someone else’s property.

Yeah I don’t disagree with that all I’m just saying it seems like they took what you were already legally required to do manually and automated it. I suppose you coulda gotten away with not registering. I remember feeling sketched out signing the paper but I do remember doin it in 2005.
