I will begin my email address collection now. No need to subscribe. My DMs are open. 😂 https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2023/06/07/elon-musks-twitter--email-giveaway-is-a-boon-for-paying-influencers-but-its-not-decentralized/?sh=1f40789b398e
Totally. Someone tell him Nostr already solved this.
1000%. nostr:npub1csamkk8zu67zl9z4wkp90a462v53q775aqn5q6xzjdkxnkvcpd7srtz4x9 I envision an app/client/platform where artists can share their music by downloading or streaming and listeners can then choose their Zap ⚡️ amounts how they like. Per listen, per month, etc. And the Client could visually show the last 3 streams.
We all want to CONNECT here and MUSIC is a HUGE part of that. For reference: #Napster #MySpace #Torrents
CC: nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m this is it. Bring the Zoomers in. Let #Tidal do for Milennials what Napster and MySpace did.
True. Gen Z is the first digitally native generation. Millennials low key need to be more easy on them.
Who's your favourite Spice Girl?
We'll get to Rosie in a minute. First... The Spice Girls were a famous all-girl pop band from Britain in the 90s who became cultural icons.
They had a slogan of "Girl Power" which was mostly an empty gesture but nevertheless had lasting power.
Watching one of their music videos prompted my curiosity about the various waves of feminism and the Rosie the Riviter iconography.
Women in Canada couldn't have an individual bank account until when?
1964.
It took more than 20 years after the Rosie poster was popularized as an ad campaign for women to work in industry while many men were a part of the war effort in WW2.
It took twenty years and a War created by men... for women to be able to access banking independently.
Bitcoin, by design, purposefully, is a low barrier and highly equitable system of digital savings and money.
Rosie would have been, 100%, a Bitcoiner.
Oh, and my answer is Ginger as a kid and Sporty now. ✌️

Oh interesting! It's not live yet though. Haha. I *literally* have a Sats invoice I was typing up before seeing this. Lol. Just want to quit my job and work on Bitcoin education full time.
Yes, seems like this is the trend.
E cash and federated projects like fedi mint are the next learning I want to embark on.
Interesting stuff. I agree... hopefully layer 2 and 3 can be built to make things smoother.
Still like Layer 1 the best though.
Today I went down a rabbit hole refreshing my memory of what innovations of "blockchain" might be rendered as "good" ideas. Even incorporated into Bitcoin one day.
I reviewed sharding and none complete ledger nodes, zkRollups and all the other "proof" consensus mechanisms. All mildly interesting but...
The ONLY thing that stood out was the idea of a D.A.O.. I don't know enough about how these could conceptually be built on BTC, layer 1 or otherwise but the idea of an autonomous program running its self and governed by its self is intriguing. I don't remember how, why or what this looked like on Bitcoin.
I still think computing science cryptography is cool and generally don't immediately denigrate other cryptographers and computer programmers who built other projects. Some of the ingenuity does seem interesting and highly conceptual...
But the issue is that none of them are anywhere as close to Bitcoin is for being "money". Bitcoin and Crypto got conflated and it wasn't positive. They are centralized tokens and digitizations of "securities". I agree with the SEC in theory on this.
So many people got hustled by Alt coin projects, outright pump and dumps, rugpulls, ponzi's or just projects that overnight were defunct (or exchanges for that matter).
The Alts, are just like unique collector rewards points. Or collector cards. That's it.
Oh, and I still low key think Monero is OK tbh. It's the one Alt I sort of can see some value to. Proof of Work, good community of talented developers and the ideas make sense and hold up. They're the Bitcoiners who kept pushing the security ball forward IMO. I'm still mostly a Maxi though but every pro team needs a farm team.
On another topic, I don't, at all, "get" the appeal of ordinals or inscriptions. It seems like a waste of ideas and space and energy. So much more so many of us are trying to do with making Bitcoin a base financial layer of humanity.
Anyhow. Cool to be here. Nostr is straight in the ethos of Bitcoin. ⚡️🔥✌️ What do you all think about my cranial rumblings?
Stack Sats. Stay Humble.
