Sometimes it drops me into a portion of the feed that is several days old. Then I have to swipe a few hindred times to get where I was.
About half the time is brings me to current posts when I was looking at ones hours old.
Countless times have I been on a note, or even replying to one, go to my browser for a link, and return to be dumped into a random part of my feed (where I need to scroll down to find the note I was repling to).
Lesa than 30% of the time that I leave Amethyst and return does it actually keep me in the same place of my feed as when I left.
