All three major powers—#China, #Russia, and the #US—have serious problems, but ours are far less serious than those of the other two. Moreover, we are best positioned to remedy difficulties. Neither China nor Russia can save itself.

Whether the #XiJinping stroke rumors are true or not, the #Chinese military and the rest of the #CCP have been in turmoil for more than a half year, as the long delay in the start of the #ThirdPlenum shows. Moreover, purges are continuing. The downturn in the economy, I think, is causing or aggravating all sorts of disruptions in political circles. #China, stroke or no stroke, looks like it is entering a period of sustained crisis. If so, Chinese leaders are bound to make their crisis our crisis.
