I think average people can't figure out what happens to them so they just chalk it up to something unimportant. The nature of a spacetime warp field controlled by an ancient intelligence is that its impossible to reproduce and difficult to analyze, so its beyond the reach of scientific investigation. Most people experience it as lost time, and they excuse it with alternative explanations. In addition, it doesent happen to everyone, or at random, because its not a natural phenomenon.

Its apparent to me thats what happens when ome of these black geometric ufos approach someone from below, such as on a mountain, but time stops or dramatically slows for those below the craft. I'm not arguing the thesis in the book relating to bitcoin. I've taken ideas from it regarding proof-of-work and am utilizing them to create something new. This would be an example of what the book does talk about although it isnt the main point of the book. Proof-of-work being used to secure digital systems is a major theme, and cyberspace is an open protocol (free) where proof-of-work is used to do just that. It isn't securing data — cryptography can do that on its own. In this context, proof-of-work is securing the capacity to act and the ownership of space/property. Bitcoin isn't directly involved in cyberspace's function. But it doesn't need to be. I hope we are on the same page now.
