I was able to send a minimum fee transaction with quick confirmation even though there’s a 40+ block queue. I don’t get all the fuss, fee market is solving and “problems” already. Seems like the ordinals are just filling up unused block space?

People set their own prices for the gift cards they are trading. And btc is in hot demand in the peer to peer economy!
Hodling is cool and all. But maybe it’s time to also promote spending bitcoin in western countries? Especially while the on/off ramps are still widely accessible to us.
I can live a 20%+ cheaper life right now by sending USD payments from Strike to Paxful, which are auto converted to bitcoin, and then trade bitcoin for widely used gift cards like Amazon, Apple, etc at nice discounts. And I can do it all within a few min because of Lightning, so no need to worry about the volatility.
