If lack of debt forgiveness continues but non oligarchs (and oligarchs I guess too) have a hard money to save into ie #bitcoin then whatever people earn they can save and their savings appreciate in buying power over time then perhaps the gap is lessened to such a degree that class revolutions either aren't a thing or don't turn over whole societies anymore.
As far as I can tell this means as soon as you are able to earn a living you can save in #btc and you can't really go broke if you are half way responsible and actually save some.
As far as I can tell that's an entirely different landscape for the haves and the have nots.
Perhaps I'm preaching to the quire here on #nostr or extrapolating too much but just thinking out loud. Such an exciting possibility 🤗

Beer before 5pm illegal in Chiang Mai so they serve in large coffee cups! 😉🙈

Romans, around 500 BC, did away with debt forgiveness which allowed oligarchies to form which control society to a large degree. Without this concept oligarchs would not be such a huge force in the world as they are now and have been for 2000+ years. See Michael Hudsons work for more info. Blew my mind!
Company Structure for Digital Nomading (LLC)
If you want to lower taxes and make your Nomading more legal here are some ideas for you to consider.
If your not from US create a company in the US and pay a flat rate tax and some admin costs. These can be several hundred USD p/year. Search for 'creating an LLC in Wyoming' to get started.
Having a company in the US will mean when you are providing services to non US clients or non-physical products even in the US while you're outside of it will only incur the above flat rate taxes and company costs.
Also, many countries have tax agreements not to double tax a person so if you are working on country X and have a company in country Y where you have a company country X has agreed not to tax you also. Hence you avoid paying tax in the country you are in legally.
If you are not from the US then consider doing something similar but set up a company in for eg, Paraguay.
NOTE:
- Each country has different tax laws and this can get quite complex so I'm not saying the above is necessary legal for you in your particular situation, just that these are some ideas to check out to see if it works for you.
- In some countries once you leave you are still required to pay tax even though you have left which makes the above very difficult. Some other countries, albeit less, will allow you to stop being a tax citizen in that country while you're overseas for a certain amount of time and in that situation the above ideas work best. Just depends where you are from really.
"Democracy throughout antiquity meant serfdom for most of the population. Aristotle was very clear on this. He said, “Many cities have constitutions that appear to be democracies, but they’re really oligarchies.” And in fact, every democracy, Aristotle wrote, tends to turn into an oligarchy, as wealthy people get rich, and then the oligarchy makes itself into a hereditary aristocracy, and lords it over the rest of society."

"For centuries, debt and indebtedness have had profoundly destabilizing effects on human societies. In the ancient world, rulers and their subjects had a solution: known as a debt jubilee, it involved a periodic, unconditional wiping out of debt. We need such a jubilee today."
I can't quite get over the idea that debt jubilees seemed to be a common thing thousands of years ago. According to Michael Hudson forgiving debt was stopped as common practice in western world or rather its predecessors Roman society and since then Oligarchies have been allowed to form meaning the rich get richer and the poor get poorer because the rich can make loans and the poor often cant pay them back.
Bitcoin would solve perhaps half the problems because money would retain its value over time and in fact become more valuable. Would this mean that less people would fail to pay back their debt and hence bring more people to the 'rich category'? There would still be some that failed I suppose but whatever you earned, if you saved it you could still live a decent life. There would still be poor people but there would be a lot less poor people. It wouldn't be the catastrophic and polarizing issue that it is now.
Michael goes on to say....
"In Rome, the wrong kings were overthrown in about 509 BC by an oligarchy, who essentially wanted to reduce the rest of the Roman population to serfdom. The whole Republic was a long set of one revolt after another after another, wanting a debt cancellation and redistribution of land. All of this was called a democracy. A democracy to the oligarchy means all the creditors are equal, and therefore liberty is the liberty to enslave the rest of the population.
Democracy throughout antiquity meant serfdom for most of the population. Aristotle was very clear on this. He said, “Many cities have constitutions that appear to be democracies, but they’re really oligarchies.” And in fact, every democracy, Aristotle wrote, tends to turn into an oligarchy, as wealthy people get rich, and then the oligarchy makes itself into a hereditary aristocracy, and lords it over the rest of society.
You had this whole background that led to the modern world, which had stopped the tradition of debt cancellation that had liberated populations from debt bondage, and what became serfdom. And it was on the idea that the law is inexorable.
The historians now say, “Well, boy, the Roman Empire wasn’t all that bad — look at how rich it got.” But the richness was all concentrated in the 1 percent of the population and the 99 percent ended up being tied down to the land. If you read the late books of the New Testament, all the way through to the book of Revelation, it’s all about, “We’re living in the end times, it’s terrible, Rome is the beast, there’s no hope here. We can’t reform land. We can’t cancel the debts ever because of the greed of the rich. There’s nothing to do but become martyrs and die and hope that in the next world, things are going to be better, and maybe Jesus is going to come back.” The whole idea was anti-Roman.
Every economy is going to be planned by someone. The question is, is it going to be planned by the creditors, as it has happened today? Or are you going to have a government, a ruler, that is going to say, “My job is to keep society stable, and to prevent it from polarizing so that we can survive and be resilient and go forward?” The creditors don’t care about resilience. Their time frame is rather short."

StartUp while Digital Nomad'ing?
If you are looking to get into the Digital Nomad life style and are working for yourself or starting your own business consider the economics of living in Thailand and especially Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.
While starting a new business you will not necessarily have clients banging down your door - if you do then all the more power to you - but if not why not give yourself the extra run way by cutting the costs of your business in the first year(s) and live in Chiang Mai.
Here is a basic cost breakdown for one person p/month.
Accommodation: 180 USD studio, new apt in Southern part of the Old City walking distance to cafe's to work and amenities (supermarket, small vege stands etc).
Power and water on top of this would be approximately $70 USD on top of this for AC whenever you are in the room. Less if you don't use AC. You most likely will want to in my experience however. Its hot here a lot of the time.
Here is one example of this price range and quality - https://goo.gl/maps/m2xKtK8P94peHx3d9
Food I would say add another $20 USD if you are eating all your meals out. Per day totaling $600 USD. If not then probably halve it at $300 USD p/month as you will still want to go work in a cafe or have a meal or two out. The above accommodation have a small kitchen so you could cook if you wanted to.
Visas per 6 months: Approx $120 p/month for first 6 months. See below.
There you go your expenses for just the very basics can be in the range of $770 - $970 p/month.

Do we need to bring back debt forgiveness?
Don Graves blames education for some of modern day's problems but it strikes me that the problem starts before this in the Deep State that developed during WW2. Its this power nexus, created in the face of a real life danger in Nazi Germany, that got out of hand hugely and then became too big and powerful to stop which has gripped us now.
If you look into who the Deep State was it was the mixing of Wall Street, organized crime and Govt Agencies. Whitney Webb writes about this nexus a lot.
To a degree this is to be expected since Roman times. According to Michael Hudson it was the Romans who did away with the tradition of debt forgiveness and that this started to allow large powerful families and industries to continue to grow powerful over time eventually forming oligarchies.
Prior to this The King would forgive the debt of the people to those people and everything which the larger families loaned out was not paid back. I believe this was only for non-commercial loans not every single loan.
Michael Hudson also says it was thing which was the real reason for Caesars murder by the oligarchs of the time because he was thought to be just about to forgive the debts of the people.

"...it was hard but things were cheap..."
- Don Graves (WW2 marine and veteran) on Great depression prices in https://youtu.be/N6naKvmyWAw?t=456
"I came up through the end of the big crash and went into the Great Depression
and President Roosevelt was our president and thanked the Lord he got in

my my mother used to put 50 cents in and we'd ride around a little bit
I us kids would chip in some money would have an old car
and we'd chip in dimes nickels whatever we had we'd pull up in front of a pump
they pump your gas for you they wipe your windshield and everything you got everything for that dime oh wow and we
and we didn't want to say he said how much gas do you need there young fellas I said uh put 50 cents in and he'd look

Here Don Graves says that the Japanese were lied to about the war and that may be true (I'll take his word for it) but I couldn't help but wonder, looking back on what we know now of the Military Industrial Complex, if perhaps the US was also lied to about Pearl Harbour Bombing as it is suspected that US Govt knew it was coming and perhaps did nothing deliberately to draw the US into war. Also, I believe the US deprived Japan of Oil prior to the invasion and hence maybe set the whole thing up.
By US Govt here I really mean Deep State actors which would have come to power slowly over WW1 and WW2 especially (Whitney Webb writes about this extensively).
What I do know is that America, and by extension the Western World in the globalized 20th Century, is one of the most propagandised societies ever via media.
From a psychological point of view it interests me how politics mirrors human psychology but on a wider scale. The human mind, as I see it, plots and schemes in a similar way on an individual level as it does on the societal one also. As above so below as the Alchemists used to say.

Socrates said the more reputation a person has the MORE ignorant they were.
This reminds me of something Dr Jordan Petersen once said in one of his lectures. From a psychological point of view the ones who climb the later of influence and reputation are the ones with an attraction to power and influence not the ones who wanted to 'do good' or represent the common man. The ones who are good at power dynamics and power games are the ones at the 'top' not the ones with the best outlook for the common people.
This confirms old cliches about politicians but somehow having the psychological vantage point and the historical one from Socrates makes it hit different.
