Isnt it weird that Coinbase is the custodian of all the ETF's Bitcoin? Rugpull on the horizon me thinks. Also under investigation from SEC apparently so wonder if this could delay ETF approval a few more weeks/months. Let's see.

Next task on mapstr.xyz is to add image support to reviews and creation of new locations. I spent an hour just planning it out and will start to execute soon.
Some notes in case anyone is interested in the design process of a dev: TIPL Note down how long a task takes you so you can keep track of how fast you are. This is useful for billing and estimating project timelines.

I built a small utility app for myself which others may like also. It allows you to schedule a post for a later time and day AND connect to as many relays as you like without need for payment. Its basic atm but over time may add to it if it proves useful.
I'm often asleep when the more popular times for English language speakers to post seem to be so this may help me to catch a few more views to my future posts as I try to promote mapstr.xyz .... back to work for me....

I read you could check balance with nostr wallet connect so seems plausible. Willing to admit it may not solve much as I'm not that knowledgeable on the topic. Now I think more about it it would only apply to a client if implemented and bots could just build there own simply client to avoid.
I guess someone could look for censored journalists and then spam them with messages about Nostr!
New year new side project - a client to schedule a post to be published at a specific time. Coming soon... my main ficus will remain mapstr but this will help me promote it as I'm in a not so popular time zone and so I dont get many hits on my posts or it could be optimized at least. will be something like scheduler.mapstr.xyz once its up.
There are paid versions of similar functionality but Im a dev so its easy for me to just build one...

Although you'd need to reply or post to earn sats so I may have shot myself in the foot. Maybe it applies to replies only so you can post without positive sat balance but not reply. A user could spend some times adding valuable posts and earning sats before being allowed replies. Just playing with the idea for now.
What I'd you check user wallet balance is above 0 or some other useful amount of sats before post is allowed. Not a cost per follower. Playing with this idea.
With nostr wallet connect app I think you could check the balance of someones connected ln wallet and say,
if btc balance >= 0 (send post) else (ask user to top up)
This would require the bots to spend the hardest money in the world in order to post. Won't reduce 100% but should reduce I'd imagine.
For real users who have added value through their notes they should have some btc to send as normal.
Michael Saylor came up with something similar a while back.
