I got a coffee advent calendar.
I have already established from my cupping experience that my ability to describe tastes is poor, but I still want to structure how I try each one. Without wasting it on cupping.
The pouches are 60g each. So I ground 15g for a French press with 250g of water, poured it into a diner mug, and tried the first day. I even took notes.
I am so insufferably fancy.

Sometimes I feel like everyone in this industry (broader web dev) feels like they are being paid by word count (or byte count).
Jeez folks are verbose. Some make me look positively laconic.

Reminder that support for the `headers` attribute in tables is pants:
• https://issues.chromium.org/issues/40818082
• https://github.com/FreedomScientific/standards-support/issues/601
• https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235740
Even if `headers` worked, table navigation for spanned cells is still wonky.
So, you know, avoid spanning table cells and headers:

Kanelbullens dag!

63°F/17.2°C here in Paris and I am hot.
Trying to cool off anyway outside. The only others who came out between talks did so for a smoke. And most are wearing jackets or sweaters.
I am definitely a #Buffalo kid.
Made it to #ParisWeb!
The morning crowd is hanging out speaking French, trying to be polite to the only monolingual in the room.

The list of elements you want added to HTML is telling — some exist, some are not something users want, some are accessibility quagmires, some show a lack of styling creativity on the part of the authors.
But it’s a great list for $browser devs to validate their existing choices!

"We will prioritize adding a11y later, but right now we just have to have this drag-and-drop feature!"

Translated: “Let’s ship this lawsuit-baiting feature because we can’t be bothered to take the time to do it right and would rather risk litigation!”

nostr:npub1zylk3x2cvl79r854gtnqjvh7cjns6zzynvf39llvfvh6gl89cgvslct54n I managed to find it back: https://github.com/google/WebFundamentals/pull/7554 (article: https://web.dev/prefers-reduced-motion/), but there was also this Twitter discussion (https://twitter.com/meduzen/status/1122087878895570944) partly about the need to not force `0s` but `0.001s` for `transition-duration`, which was back then updated by nostr:npub13uszupcvaqqnfpvecy2p09fu0w2s0df7f9k86fkjv3lzakygywasau53yp in the article, before being lost during an infra/repo migration (today the article sticks to `0s`). :oscar:
nostr:npub12j2e2q7k5fnqpq643mzh7m4vaqlwz7egyla9h2va7pnhg3g0dm5s46czrz Oh cool, so moving repos is just an annual thing.
nostr:npub1zylk3x2cvl79r854gtnqjvh7cjns6zzynvf39llvfvh6gl89cgvslct54n Yup. I'm drinking a doctored (with cinnamon water) instant coffee, but I wish I had a home espresso machine, esp for the foamed milk.
nostr:npub1xrrt2jpk5j7c0k5hfjd54tte823qh823gmzjfh99qkhrr0kdy5asm9nftg Stovetop steamer (and a moka pot for espresso) are lower cost options.
Just in case you are serious. And if you are *really* serious, well, yay but money.
nostr:npub1zylk3x2cvl79r854gtnqjvh7cjns6zzynvf39llvfvh6gl89cgvslct54n Still looks pretty appetizing to me! Sorry you got all dressed up for a disappointment, but enjoy that capuccino.
nostr:npub1xrrt2jpk5j7c0k5hfjd54tte823qh823gmzjfh99qkhrr0kdy5asm9nftg It happens. I like to think I saved some coin and had a drink less offensive to my liver (and cheaper).
nostr:npub1zylk3x2cvl79r854gtnqjvh7cjns6zzynvf39llvfvh6gl89cgvslct54n I giggled. Not about the cancelled date, that sucks.
nostr:npub1zjxng70g6azzt9h2yv8sv9lstclm80t7ctgur0vjpsjza5vp27kqjtlcj9 Yeah, I like to think the money I saved on drinks I can put to better use anyway (concert Tuesday maybe).
I was all ready to go out tonight, but my date canceled at the last minute. I was really pleased with my outfit, I had buffed my scalp, and I was looking forward to over-priced negronis.
Instead I sat in jeans & a sleep henley, worked on slides, and took out the trash.
I did make a spectacular cappuccino, though (taste more than looks).
So yay?
