Am I too late to get in on the beta testing for bill pay?

Just moved house this fall, so size of the garden at new place is still TBD... But typically we've had 8 tomato plants, a bunch of potatoes and sweet potatoes, couple cucumber plants, ~12 assorted zucchini and squash plants, some carrots, onions, and garlic, plus a few other herbs and a small strawberry patch.

I wish you the best. My family is getting off of seed oils, and where we live that basically means can't eat at restaurants. If we do on rare occasion, we don't get anything fried.

Could you do both and have both on the menu at their different price points? Or would it be impossible because of how many fryers you have?

I don't have the chops you're looking for, but I want to learn about what you're working on.

"Society" and "the entire community" as mentioned here is some romantic ideal that does not exist in reality. It is only a euphemism for the individuals holding the reins of government.

With that in mind, you realize that they're saying the quiet part out loud:

The purpose of a public education in a public school is not to teach your kids what you believe they should be taught. It is to teach your kids what all the individual rulers (at the federal level, those occupying legislative seats or the office of the president or positions within the Department of Education, similar state level positions, all the way down to the local school board members, school administrators, and local members of teachers unions) want to teach them.

There was a time when people living in the U.S. were more unified than we are now, and it was not absurd to think that you and these rulers were in agreement about what you wanted to teach your kids. I encourage you to question whether that is still the case today.

Either homeschool your kids, or if you can find a private school that you're in sufficient agreement with, use them...

Yes, I love CrowdHealth, Andy is great

Got a wage increase in the fiat mines today. Little bit more cash flow means I'm taking a little bit more Bitcoin off the market.

Bitcoin down 3k today:

Any active users of Proton Wallet willing to give me an invite?

Lord, haste the day when Bitcoin is the primary money

When the money printer is no more

And the price of everything goes down forever

This seems like a great format/model for addressing FUD. nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyfehcpn I'm imagining a picture of Bitcoin with some dollars in his mouth, and that one could be "Bitcoin Ate My Money!"

Nope, we're leaving the raising of kids to parents, that's the point. When those parents need wisdom/outside help, they can get that from wiser people with whom they voluntarily associate, rather than trying to check some government checkbox to avoid fines and/or imprisonment.

Just don't deal with that. Not via the state, anyway.

If you're doing something unwise in your parenting, it should be the elders of your church (whose discipline you voluntarily place yourself under when you become members of the congregation) that sit you down to talk about that, not the state making some ham-fisted rule applied to society at large.
