I’m no expert on this, but a problem I would like to see addressed is rewarding music curators.
On YouTube creators get rewarded, but in the past radio DJs were highly valued to unearth new talent.
Rewarding the music curators not just the creators would help unearth and promote new talent.
The relay is called Nex. You can find it here:
https://github.com/lebrunel/nex
To my knowledge it's the second most feature complete relay out there. But I don't have much reach on Nostr yet so no-one knows its there. Any shares appreciated 🙏
Being elixir, should scale quite nicely, but not put through its paces yet.
DB-wise it uses Ecto so any sql database will fit. The package is set up for postgres but I've tested locally using sqlite and all passes nicely. Subscriptions go in an ETS table but thats probably where the biggest optimisations need to come.
Does Nex verify signatures?

Nice to see another Elixir relay. I think there was another one but not sure if it was complete.
I think #[3] likes to follow new relays. He has mentioned Elixir relays in a previous post.
Would be interesting to see how Elixir scales with the Nostr architecture.
You need to put an @ in front.
It was a while ago. It was a small bottle and expensive. From memory it tasted salty. It was okay to drink, but couldn’t say it had any benefits with just the one bottle.
No point letting a good psyop go to waste.
Absolutely. But can just use another relay.
The beauty of Nostr is that relays are just relays, there is no guarantee that they store notes. That’s not part of the architecture. Of course they can also store notes.
You can also run your own relay locally and store all of your own notes. And back that up in the cloud.
Yes but put @ in front.
I keep forgetting though. Hopefully a quote repost option in future.
I don’t think that is technically possible, but I could be wrong. Clients and/or relays would have to honour it.
Interest piqued.
I was dabbling with gleam the other week and started to write a relay (not much progress), but haven’t had much time.
What db are you thinking of using?
Oh there they are, wow. Nostr is getting much more use than I thought. Thanks.
And the actual post #[2]
This post on nostr.gram shows 688 likes but only 3 here on Damus.
Anyone seeing more than 3 likes on Damus?

3 hours is a bit long even for a movie
Nice feature, good to see the levels of infrastructure and protocols working together at this early stage.
