I’m all for growing Nostr and I am doing my best to bring non-bitcoin creators and educators into the space.

What can be done with this:
Subscribe to interesting people for you, block bitcoiners. Just subscribed to you. One example - @freeofbtc #freeofbtc
Backup your Nostr private keys.
Use meaningful tags.
Use https://zappedit.com/feed - you can block posts by tags there. But it is site, not app.
Select relays without bitcoin bullshit.
Run your own relay with your own rules and people.
If you practice less aggressive approach while requesting stuff you might encounter greater will from the community to listen to you and implement your ideas.
It’s a bit odd for me that you managed to notice the most discussed topic here is Bitcoin and couldn’t figure that the reason behind this is that most Nostr devs and active users are bitcoiners.
Calling bitcoin bullshit and asking help in implementing your ideas from people who have spent months and years studying economics, computer science and a ton of other related disciplines to come to the conclusion that Bitcoin is the ultimate tool for building a better society and are now in fact trying to build a better society with a communications protocol inseparable from censorship-resistant money, is not the best approach, to say the least.
You are free to communicate your thoughts any way you want here, but I advise you consider changing your attitude or prepare to be ignored.
#[8] is on route here, but there’s a lot of work ahead for all of us.
That said, comparing them to likes is not the best approach. It may make sense at the dawn of #Nostr and #zaps themselves, but it’s vital to nurture the realization that they are something absolutely new, incredibly huge and underrated.
Zaps are a tool that is essential to building a society that values open dialogue, innovation, and self-sovereignty.
#Zaps are slices of the only finite monetary good humanity ever witnessed. They are the best representation of produced value that can be instantly transferred across the world without the need of a third party.
