Am I missing something or does Amethyst feel heavy?
When you connect to a relay, you should logically expect you’ll be getting all the notes it broadcasts. So if you already have a connection to a high quality maintained relay, like filter.nostr.wine, you don’t need to connect to a general purpose relay.
Obviously, there are special cases, like curated relays, like the ones Artur mentions in his post above or specialized relays, e.g. the ones operated by your local community, which are not being monitored by the paid filter relay you are using.
You can find out more about relays in my post here: https://lnshort.it/nostr-relays
From now on I’m not touching any fries unless they are prepared the way this man said. nostr:note16a08ykt0w4r0mdqrndvzcrzc5t37czmqtygvua3qkdxg0ua9plsql4uqzx

This is ultimately good for #Nostr. Annoying, but good.
These are the days I’m feeling happy I’m not a dev 😅.

It’s not total spends, it’s just onchain transactions — gotta send or receive 1M sats onchain — there’s a bar showing how many more sats you should transact before you can customize the address.
No worries. nostr:npub138s5hey76qrnm2pmv7p8nnffhfddsm8sqzm285dyc0wy4f8a6qkqtzx624‘s got their back in case SHTF 😉
They’re letting you choose a custom address as soon as you reach 1M sats in onchain transactions.
Just saw there’s an option to get a custom address today. I used #WoS primarily to show the new comers that first steps to onboard #lightning are not scary at all. Had 220k sats transacted onchain, mainly from doing guides and showing people how everything works.
So I just sent 780k more to reach the minimum threshold to change the address. Will definitely find good use for these now-super-liquid sats.
Mentions are broken though. If you want to mess something up, make sure you do it right 😅
How cool am I now? 😎

Media attention often translates into a flood of bad actors. That’s why gradual adoption is preferable.
No matter what I’m very bullshit on #Nostr ©

Can’t suggest a one-size-fits-all guide, but nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp‘s got this resource covering it all. Hope this helps: https://www.lopp.net/lightning-information.html
