What’s even more crazy is that if you do not own your keys, a much less likely, but a non-zero-chance scenario exists, where a multi billion tech giant may decide they like your account just enough to give you a boot. nostr:note1w682qaqm5ppsm0hvzf97n5g67fmw8rt089r2z4wlzlm9l4v47d0scpf20c

Exactly my thoughts 😄 it’s already evening in Japan 🍹

What’s wrong with Margaritas at 10 am, lol?

That would be re-stealing 😄

Go ahead. There is no such thing as intellectual property.

Agree, but it’s auditability issues and other complications caused by its anonymity make it much less favorable as a global economic system. There’s obviously a use case for privacy-oriented solutions, but I wouldn’t categorize them as second-best. Rather a tool for an extremely narrow audience.

Bitcoin is good enough for most users and provides options to stay pseudonymous given that you follow basic privacy practices.

Paywalled for me. I found an open one: nostr:note1zmre5d65ap6xt6u8rqwje08ylsw3p2pxq9rhn8tqwkpdezrumh2q03v9fv

Super happy to announce that I've regained access to my nostr:npub1kmwdmhuxvafg05dyap3qmy42jpwztrv9p0uvey3a8803ahlwtmnsnhxqk9 page, dedicated to the 21 ideas bitcoin-only educational project. https://geyser.fund/project/21ideas

Geyser did require a Twitter identity verification for joining back in the day, and unfortunately Elon decided to ban my account a couple of months ago, so I lost my access to Geyser.

The guys now added Nostr and Lightning login options, so one does not have to rely on centralized third parties in confirming their identity, and were super helpful in restoring my access to the account and replacing Twitter login with the Nostr one.

As 21 ideas is now concentrated on open-sourcing it’s code and building an active community around Bitcoin in the CIS region, I’ll be updating everyone on the progress both here on Nostr and on a dedicated Geyser page. Stay tuned.

Here’s my child account on Nostr dedicated to open-sourcing the project: nostr:npub10kqkn727y9pwa95zctwd4xpswh27wlkrk6rf68kdw3rr6jn24utqh3w94h

Well, I wouldn’t call it “fault”. I run a non-profit project and also implemented fiat donations just cause so many readers are asking for this option (percentage wise). And my project teaches people about bitcoin.

And if the payment platform cut me off, I would definitely tell about this to my readers and the wider audience.

That said, I am ready for when they close my fiat payments, it’s just a matter of time. The closer we are to winning, the stronger they will try to fight back.
