I try to time my eating before a long-haul flight because I'm sure the cabin pressure does something to my stomach and gives me gas. If it's an early afternoon flight I'll probably fast before I get on it.
Yes, that makes sense and we're already beginning to see niche LLMs for things like health. Large orgs will definitely want their own version trained on their IP and where the data doesn't leave their servers.
Ah I missed that part.
Is your thesis we'll have a range of LLMs that perform specific tasks to a high degree rather than a multi-purpose one like GPT?
Money so 'sound' they have to burn it
Yeah I was pretty shocked. He's a decent lad but I can tell he has a jealous streak of other people's wealth. The fact that he Google's the price of people's houses was a tell lol
I agree, 100%, and I spend my days doing the same.
Before Covid I would have said there's no way people will accept CBCDs. Now, though, I think most people would think they're a good thing.
A friend of mine is anti-cash because he doesn't like that people can dodge paying tax.
My first year working in London as a grad I got into more debt because my salary didn't cover my living expenses.
The property situation really is terrible now, even outside of London. A crappy 2 bed ex-council house in some crappy town can go for at least £300k these days.
Insane isn't it? It's probably status-hungry low self-esteem people who can't actually afford them buying it. It's not even a good looking t-shirt
Aristotle or some other Ancient Greek?
Balenciaga is selling a t-shirt with the #Bitcoin logo on it for £725 (around $850 US) and they're calling it a 'crypto t-shirt'
A crime against humanity all around
Nice. I just went to the beach most days. Might go to Asia somewhere this winter
Yep, I suspect so too. I'm seeing him again next week so will ask who conned him.
I was there from Sep 2021 to March 2022. Were you in Playa?
Stayed in Playa del Carmen and Tulum for the (European) winter. A short walk from the Caribbean Sea
Oof. That's a typical example of knowing just enough to be dangerous. "I know, I'll buy an index of coins like the S&P to derisk"
During covid, a mate of mine wanted to buy bitcoin but he didn't know where to start. He said he wanted to buy some, store it away and forget about it.
"Wise move!" I told him and whenever he was ready to go ahead with it, let me know and I'll help him buy it and store it.
He never contacted me in the end and I headed off to Mexico to avoid another lockdown so hadn't seen him since.
I've just met up with him and he told me he ended up buying into some shitcoin with £00,000s of fiat which ended up going to zero. I asked him what it was called and he couldn't even remember the name.
WTF! I know he deserves it but how can you start out with a sensible plan and end up buying into some 'next bitcoin' scammy shitcoin and losing it all.
People, man...
