That is not fair!
I try to time my eating before a long-haul flight because I'm sure the cabin pressure does something to my stomach and gives me gas. If it's an early afternoon flight I'll probably fast before I get on it.
Yes, i do the same, i empty everything before and eat nothing or something really light. I've never used an airplane toilet and also...never farted 🤷🏻.
