Why is it safer that everyone run the same node implementation?
… As I understand it, by running a different protocol their node will automatically get kicked off the network, correct?
What an about Luke makes you skeptical?
And just like that your grandkids and great grandchildren will passing down your legendary story of how they became such a prosperous family!
I am officially in paradise, don’t want to get back to London. I need to find a way to live by the beach in a warm country. #holidays #whitesand #beach #vitamind #health #grounding #happiness

Do it! Whatever it takes!
One of the best things I’ve done for myself in life is to always be willing to move somewhere I want to be. It’s disruptive yeah, but in every single case it’s been more than worth it. (I’ve moved many times and now live in three places part time, but mostly in the Northeast US)
Busy people get things done.
So I’ve notice anyway…
If you like this album you might want to check out Phurpa. I would start with the album Trowo Phurnag Ceremony
Lyn, I have the utmost respect for you and your opinions. I find you deeply thoughtful and thorough.
My questions to you are how do you square with the fact that Core Devs have deleted dissenting voices on the GitHub? And that they allegedly are pushing this change out in an unprecedented fashion?
I don’t understand the technicals well enough to weigh in on the debate of whether or not the changes are good, but the behavior that I’m witnessing smells really funky to me…
I’m not convinced we humans are creating intelligence. What we are doing is tuning the silicon to interface with the inherent intelligence that has always been here.
Super intelligence has some stunning surprises for all of us, especially those who believe they can be its masters.
In my experience, the more complete a person’s intelligence is, the more compassionate and benevolent they become. This must, therefore, be foundational to intelligence.
I think we are in for an interesting and delightful ride!
You are, at least, a clear enough communicator to be worth coming back to over and over.
Though I would say this is the most concise and compact interview yet!
In listening to this one, I’m realizing how often these concepts are coming out of my own mouth. Not as parroted phrases regurgitating Jeff’s words, but as reconsidered and reformulated to the moment, in my own words. It’s proof that as I’ve listened over and over, and repeated “the natural state of the economy is deflationary” the paradigm shift is happening in my own mind and unfolding in my awareness to become my reality.
Totally. I would add that morality is regional and even individual. Somehow this needs to be transcended, until we see that it’ll be obvious it’s not super intelligence.
i disagree. i think fear of AI is a psy op.
it can be used in a good way, but since the good actors are not playing with it (except a few), the arena is left to bad actors.

Wow, there is so much more that goes into building on Nostr than I ever imagined. I stumbled into this Client creation discussion, I am not in anyway qualified to speak to any of the specifics of this topic, but I am eternally interested in how things work under the hood.
@I have you had any of these deeper development discussions publicly in a podcast or any other long form format?
We must seem schizophrenic to those who insist everyone picks a side.
I was vegan/vegetarian for about 13 years, two of which I was raw vegan. I’ve just begun reading and listening to everything I can about Carnivore. Excited to jump in once I feel I have a strong foundation of understanding how to make it sustainable. I appreciate you making your journey public, it’s nice to feel like there is a supportive community to become part of.
Good buddy of mine was one of the original speed runners back at the turn of the century. I remember watching him grind for hours looking at the floor the whole time. I’ll admit, I didn’t get it and thought it was a strange way to enjoy Goldeneye. Turns out he was helping forge new territory
I don’t really understand the technicals of the situation well enough to be able to weigh in on this debate. But what has made the decision easy for me is how the developers of Bitcoin Core have been conducting themselves.
Running Knots on my node now.
