There are 402 clients connected to my relay I made for myself!

No wonder I cant boot my system up anymore with 2GB of ram

You are getting duplicate posts from nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kytcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtcpremhxue69uhkummnw3ez6ur4vgh8wetvd3hhyer9wghxuet59uq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd4hk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjygzpjv7a ? Isn't that your client's job, to get events from relays and de-duplicate them? I've never seen that before on nostr actually, I primarily use #yakihonne and #coracle and #damus, depending on what flavor of "broken" I am looking for on a particular day....

Its back online, but I have to keep messing with my server
Cant boot the server up anymore, takes too much memory and becomes unusable. Had to upsize the instance temporarily
FYI I’m getting each of your posts 3 times
Yeah it’s down. My Tailscale cert expired and now I’m trying to get inside so I can renew it
My server is actually down currently which might explain the issue. I’m not sure if something is caching the old value tagged to my relay.
Definitely not serving anything atm
The whole point of bostr was that it just collects data from a bunch of relays and proxies it over a single connection. So I don’t understand why it’d be out of date data, but I haven’t restarted or updated the application in a while.
confirmed on our end, ok good, looks like nostr:npub1sp0rex959gshtgypve45upmm4vepxm4xea9eja4f2ftfj97euv5s3rj02v in this case was serving up an outdated kind zero for you. interesting.
Ahh haha I haven’t updated my bostr server instance in a bit. How did you even come across that?
I really don’t really understand how that service works. I know what mcp is, but they mention compatibility with cursor.
Isn’t cursor doing the same thing? Indexing my repo as I work on it?
It seems like a stateless application.
Definitely going to try it with cursor/goose

It’s also funny it’s not a zapvertisement it was just a message reply with some loose change attached. Where did I say come to LightningSpore.com and buy my wares? This has been a great morning☀️😎

Sorry not sorry my nostr wallet was low and those were the last 5 sats I had to offer.
And it paid off wonderfully!
Taking the ski train to Winter Park. Great views, awesome spring skiing, no traffic!

I don’t think it ever gets cheaper to transact on-chain just because miners stop mining. 1 sat/vbyte = 1 sat/vbyte
Price goes down, purchasing power goes down, 1 sat/vbyte is cheaper, but at the expense of your purchasing power 🥺
Your episodes about old-style cast irons was great. I just got a 1930s #7 off of eBay and it’s soo much better than my Lodge one.
If you make your own yogurt or kefir, try using a sous vide to regulate temperature while things ferment. Makes for an easy time.

How fast can you do a batch of kefir using this method? What temp? Seems like you wouldn’t want to go that high
Yeah they seem to take a while. I think they need it to be colder ideally to trigger fruiting
Mostly just LNBits and SeedSigner
Done some simple nostr POCs with nostr-sdk python package
Black King Oyster harvest today. Some stats about this harvest:
I spawned 1lb of colonized grain to 10 lb bags of sawdust/soy hull gourmet substrate (thanks nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpq00rse6q23xxvfvlp05ye97shyexlrz8peqrtvrk4gsjw3dql26rqwldl06 for supplying!) on 02/19/2025. That means it took 37 days for these. Probably half of that time it was colonizing, half it was in the fruiting tent.
After pulling the mushrooms off of the block the total weight was: 4.716kg
I trimmed up these mushrooms to remove less desirable parts:
Good looking mushrooms: 3.506kg
Compost pieces: 1.21kg
So about 75% yield there. Which could definitely be improved by me harvesting at a better time, and maintaining better environmental conditions.
There is something in mushroom growing called "biological efficiency" (BE) which tells you how well you did. Each species of mushrooms has a range of acceptable values here.
Biological Efficiency = (Fresh Mushroom Weight / Dry Substrate Weight) × 100% Biological Efficiency
-> (3.506 kg / 5.443 kg) × 100% Biological Efficiency = 64.4%
I did the calculations based on a couple of difference dry substrate weights, which gave me a BE of 48.3% to 77.3%.
This is lower than the ideal (100-150%), but also my execution wasn't really ideal either. Its good to get this all written down so that next time around I have a goal to beat!
