Supraglacial stream on the Black Rapids Glacier - Alaska Range

Yesterday I took a shortish, approximately 6-mile hike in the Hoodoos for the first time. Really impressive rock formations up close and really cool geology and rocks in the area. I turned back early because I got a bit apprehensive hiking on a very steep, exposed, loose, narrow ridge where the only other tracks were the grizzly tracks going in my same direction. Maybe it was because I was solo, but something about the situation turned my stomach. #alaska #hiking
