Check out nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 too. This is another way to get Olas and many other Android apps. I used to use GitHub, but now I mostly use Zapstore.

Will do!

It's good to disagree, we're not all supposed to be the same or think the same. I assume we just look at your meme in 2 different ways

I see it as we have this new protocol/platform that's new, refreshing & already revolutionary. We're missing the fact (the ball) by focusing on things like- likes vs zaps.

- Censorship free

- Decentralized

- Open source

- No ads (fuck yeah)

- Users support users

- Organic feel (extremely refreshing)

To me, it's a W as is.

I think you see it as we're missing the revolutionary part of it by not leaning into zaps more. Which is very valid, because it is one of the primary differentiators between nostr & trad social media.

Regardless of what someone believes, I'm just happy that we have a platform that really is for the people.

Realistically nothing other than basic human needs have intrinsic value. We as humans choose what we give value to.

Having both reactions and zaps- I can see the value in that. Reactions for acknowledgement & zaps as a reward for top tier content, to me its still a great step forward, and progress from the norms weve created on other social media platforms.

My only concern with OnlyZaps, would be creating a P2W environment, a funnel for the biggest wallets, people only engaging with the biggest wallets in hopes of handouts, and potentially lowering overall engagement with your average user. A platform needs content + engagement to grow, its gamification for users, whether it's a reaction or a zap. It's a reward system that creates a positive feedback loop and people will continue to create, whether for reactions and a bonus if they receive a zap.

The people with large followings at this moment deserve the attention and zaps they receive, and they dish them out as well, but not every person with a name is them, nor shares their values. Many are in the social media realm for personal gain, and not the culture.

The current system is pretty good if I'm being honest, and it's still in it's infancy. I'm here to stay regardless of what route it takes.

Highly recommend- 1 day a week if you can.

Unplug, detach, and live un anchored for just 1 day!

Both serve a purpose, both have value.

I mentioned on another post yesterday that I appreciate Amethysts 'like' button, because works more as a personalized acknowledgement/reaction button.

That plus zaps is a great combo IMO, still a reframe from likes and reactions are tailored to ones perception of the posted content.

That being said, #Nostr is going to be huge regardless of what fucking buttons it has.

This is my mindset, and should be everyone elseโ€™s.

Without bitcoin we lose, thereโ€™s nothing else left to save us.

It ain't going nowhere.

We ain't going nowhere.

Basically!

I wasn't expecting many followers out of the gate but I also didn't expect to have negative followers ๐Ÿ˜‚

couple hand grenades and some snacks. you're good to go

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's pretty quiet, I'm assuming there's less volume of people crossing.

If you got a free day, why not go boots on the ground. #roadtrip

The amount of normies I've had come to me and ask if they should buy (specifically) XRP and memecoins over the past month is insane.

I politely try to explain why I ultimately think #bitcoin is the superior asset to be accumulating for years to come, but they don't like to listen.

It's hard to wrap my head around what holding XRP really does for anyone. Shitcoins kind of make more sense imo, in and out, make some $, whatever.

I spent my time in NFTs from basically the ground floor and took part in shitcoinery, I get it, it can be alluring- especially if your goal is to 'make fiat'.

I made tons and lost tons, but in the end it was valuable because the losses brought me back to where I began, which was the right place all along- BTC. Painful to look back, but I refer to it as my 'Crypto-College Tuition', a learning experience if you will.

The reason that I got into bitcoin was purely based off of values- Love of freedom, hating authority, and being naturally skeptical. I consider myself lucky that my values aligned to what this asset stands for, because if they didn't, I probably would have scurried away from the space.

I fear that for this reason, most will be onboarded into crypto with the goal of making fiat, becoming exit liquidity and then left with a bad taste in their mouth. Stranded without the set of values that brings them to the right place, that place being bitcoin.

I know there's a light bulb moment, I had it myself, I got there myself. But how do we help our peers get there? I'm not in the business of changing minds, but I'm not willing to give up, I'd like to see my people see the light.
