Christopher Thomas Lynch was handed a 14-year prison sentence in 2012 for forcing a teenage boy into prostitution. The male youth, who identified as transgender, was plied with cocaine and used to make child sexual abuse materials in addition to being forced to have sex with men up to four times per day for money.

Lynch and his boyfriend, Steven Lemery, ran an exploitation ring in which they used social media to lure gay and transgender teenage boys for the purposes of forcing them into the sex trade. Lemery, who was a go-go dancer at a gay club, was in a polyamorous relationship with Lynch, as well as a woman and her boyfriend. There were multiple small children residing in the home where the abuses took place."

I speak to a lot of clients on the phone at work. One thing (out of many) that bothers me is, when I need to send them something by email, how many of them don't spell out their email address phonetically. To be fair, many of them do, but a lot also don't.

I spoke to one person today who just kept pronouncing a vowel. The vowel sound was not clear. I kept spelling phonetically and they just kept trying to direct the conversation. It just makes me so mad. I have to calm down because I can't be this mad about stupid bullshit. Sometimes, they get upset with me or impatient (snippy) and I have told myself I will not drive myself crazy trying to get their email address right.

I got this person's address right FINALLY after about two minutes of their bullshit (I THINK). I don't understand what's wrong with people. I understand it's annoying to spell out an email address, letter by letter, phonetically. But it's like they don't even care if they ever get their information. And then THEY get mad at ME for trying to give it to them.

Also, I know it's really annoying, and probably not good for your health, but when you call an office, or a clinic on speaker phone, YOU SOUND MUFFLED usually. I have to admit I still use speaker but I ask if they can hear me well. Sometimes I tell them they're muffled and they turn of speakerphone. But sometimes they just keep going.

I need to stop caring so much. I created a policy. I would ask people to spell their email address phonetically. I would give them an example: So sir, your email address is carlson-gruberscheiner@icloud.co.uk, right? Could you please spell that phonetically? The first letter is c like Charlie, then a, r, l, s like Samuel, and then... ?

And if they don't spell the rest phonetically, just give up. Don't bother. A lot of the time, my effort to get their address right makes the difference between them receiving the information or documents they wanted and not. But it's thankless. Why are people so dumb. It's hard being smarter than most people. I'm not even really smart. I've just always been annoyed at how stupid and thoughtless most people seem to be, how unwilling to look at anything uncomfortable and now, how aggressive or uncooperative for someone trying to get them something THEY went out of their way to ask for.

I need to make this policy something I'm ruthless about. No time wasting. If they aren't trying, Im not bending over backward for them. They can live their mediocre life and go without the things they claim to want. Except for seniors or people who seem really in distress. I might put in extra effort for them. And also, at least for the time being, the French-speaking clients who call because I know my French is not nearly as good as I'd like it to be and I feel I have to make the effort to avoid being yelled at.

You must be used to people educated in Canada. Phonetic spelling is a luxury.

In 'Muricah very few people know how to spell out anything phonetically. Most of them will be unable to think of a word that starts with the letter they're trying to tell you and you'd be amazed how many people will say "I" as in eye.
