There is no demand to do things right. People want things done fast and cheap. Everything is designed to be redone in 20 years. There are fewer and fewer guys building things right out there. Its been phased out. The kids don't even realize they are doing shit work. Plastic and particleboard is all they know.
Its not just buildings I'm just more aware of it because its my life. The cars suck the clothes suck the food sucks the music sucks. Only solution I can think of is leaving this joke of a country. The way I'm acquiring the means to do so is buy installing cardboard cabinets and wrapping houses in leaky plastic for fat clueless mouth breathers that say "looks great!"
I knowingly do shit work all the time. Why? Because that's what the guys that pay me tell me to do. I hate it. If did things right I wouldn't have a job. There's got to be a better way
Good luck. Very interested in doing something like this myself but overwhelmed by the "where" part
Trading is grimy. Be productive
This fucking guy
My whole life alternative mobile OS's were a real pain I the ass to use but I did it anyway and onboarding anyone was pretty much impossible. In the past year or so grapheme got like ridiculously easy to install. I was so excited about this and I tried to show everyone I know. No one cared.
We're going to use the right tools but most people won't because they are lazy and stupid. I think some sort of natural selection process is going to play out here and it won't be pleasant

Theodore just kinda stays <100' from me, no leash, as long as I go slow. After a mile or so he's ready for a ride on my shoulders
