Stop Germany from buying gas from Putin = no more Chechnya, Ossetia, Transnistria, Ukraine, polonium poisonings and dictatorship oppressing the Russian people.

He was suicided in a jail in my country. Being my country and knowing it, I have zero doubts about how it went down.
A few days ago I posted about how 17 years later I still have genuine heartbreak with the last scene of the Sopranos. With BSG it happens more than once. The characters and their interactions are so well built... that's really what the series is about.
I'm a complete, staunch, irredeemable atheist and I don't know if that's where you're coming from in regards the "theological" angle.
I just took it as part of the storytelling, it's just another element that adds to it. Most people are not atheists, at the end of the day, and again, it's a show about people.
I can't help but rewatch it again and again... it's like history is circular...
Many people say the same about season 1 vs the rest, but really, I love the whole thing from the miniseries to the last episode. The finale is glorious, true closure. A rare thing in modern tv.
Like, dude. If you're not into this shit we got beef you and I.

I mean, why wouldn't I watch the best tv show ever once again?
Current state of audiovisual entertainment:
About to put on Battlestar Galactica again. For the second time this year.
Currently in the US, only 8% of violent crimes result in arrest. Not actual criminal charges but just arrest. For property crimes the rate is 1%.
But remember we need to disarm you and continue the steady, relentless build up of the Orwellian totalitarian state is for your safety, for the children and for the baby panda bears.
(And obviously the situation is probably even worse in Europe and the rest of the Western block).
So rain floods in Dubai. So fucking what, big deal.
My goodness, aren't people bored as fuck.
The usual conundrum with central planning, Enlightened Despots and the abuse of what should be a simple method of dispute resolution (democracy) as a tool for adults to evade individual responsibility and be coddled babies forever in the best case and slaves in the most common one.
I see. So it's basically a market-driven price. Charge whatever the 95th percentile will pay?
Not Nostr related per se, but something I've always been curious about, technically.
Does data actually get "consumed"? In the sense that, if your provider gives you a quota of X bytes, at A dollars, is there an actual calculable cost for the provider to provide you with more?
Obviously data are transistors going on and off, so more data is more electricity used. But is there really a difference in terms of operating costs for the data provider that could justify noticeably higher prices for larger data quotas?

Those are amazing! Treasure them!
My grandparents used to have several complete sets of a few very famous comic series from the 60-70's that belonged to my uncle, and some loose numbers that were even older than that. I used to read them even when I was in high school in the 90's.
All it took was a few years of neglect as they got older and the comics were put away in a big box to lose them all to mold and insects.
They eat grass, right? Can't be too bad. Kind of tough maybe? You can always make a stew...

Very much needed. 90% of my family and friends can't handle English content and live in a complete cultural bubble, which is why they're so disconnected from the broader world-wide trends, like Bitcoin, and only get a very heavily filtered and censored version of events.
And before you say it, no, their situation is much worse than yours if you can read this post in English.
English isn't the language of a specific information and cultural bubble under the direct political and economic control of an elite. There is free content in English (yes, in any other language too, but the volume is incomparable).
The whole series is fantastic, of course, but you only realize how masterfully you've been wrapped in by David Chase during all those seasons until that very last scene, when (unless you're a psychopath, ironically enough), you almost feel like it's happening to someone so close to you in real life.
Of course it's not just *what* happens, but *how* magnificently written, directed, acted and filmed the scene was.
