Apparently you can just turn Primal's "censorship" off if you want to. Also an allow list even if you want to keep it on.
It also lets you opt out of the algorithm.
So basically everyone was just lying about it being a bad client, unless this is a recent change.
It seems to have a chronological feed.
If Primal censors some accounts I guess I'll just live with that because even Coracle is bad compared to this.
I always heard bad things about Primal but this works so much better than anything else I've tried.
