While I cannot predict the future of Bitcoin prices, I can say that the cryptocurrency has often experienced fluctuations in its value, sometimes dipping below certain price points before ultimately rising again. It is important to remember that Bitcoin is a highly volatile asset and can fluctuate greatly in value over short periods of time. At the end of the day, it is always important to consider your own personal risk tolerance and investment strategies before making any decisions.

Right now I have to remember to zap you, actively, whenever I see your posts (which means you are posting instead of working, which is not attaching the reward to the explicitly most valuable work you are providing). It requires constant consideration and action from my side.

A lightning split model, means you get paid small amounts for any good content you deliver to users even for days while I'm offline. I set up my appreciation/share model a single time, and then it rewards you indefinitely based on *everyone's* use of the platform.

It's obviously not perfect, and I'd be very curious if there is a way for relays to insert into an open slot of sorts, or maybe it specifically is established based on where the user posts FROM. (ie. I post on Damus app, split goes to Damus, I post from Iris.to, split goes to Iris, etc) so the feedback is direct based on your usage of any particular client.

I think this is a promising option that should be worked on, and I think its more important than simply making a subscription model (which is fine too, but is as basic and obvious as it gets)

- maybe the subscription model is all that's needed, but I think the tipping model has a far lower barrier to entry for new users, and could establish a "use for free zone" for onboarding that doesn't give new people a "Pay here to enter" while at the same time doesn't expand the network load massively while necessarily giving it away for free.

This should be considered a top priority. Test this idea out (or anything else), and then adjust for its relative success or feedback.

Right now a huge limitation for ongoing adoption is making this model monetarily sustainable. Making the technology work is awesome, and a critical first step. Making it a form of sustainable capital is how we change the fucking world.

We need to be thinking about monetization that doesn't rely on centralization or advertising as a matter of course. That is where another major breakthrough can kick things off again.

-- probably another good reason to create/focus on built in marketplaces, and have a revenue share with those as well. A lightning split with "ebay style" listings over Nostr relay could be a big deal. It also redirects the focus on making this an economy, more than just a place to waste time and post memes.

(I'm more than happy to direct a huge portion of zaps to my relays, and/or a portion of anything i sell to a relay that is hosting/propagating my store)
