Born and raised in Graz, Austria. Lived in southwestern Germany (aka “The Länd”) for most of my adult life. Reside and work in Tokyo since 2018. Data Architect in my day job. Photographer (analog and iPhone), coffee/café lover, photo book collector and 日本語の学生 in my spare time. Other interests and hobbies include traveling, classic movies, board games, fountain pens, kickboxing and drumming. I also read a lot - biographies, technical books, comics, books by Scandinavian authors, and philosophy.

As today is #WindowFriday / #FensterFreitag on Mastodon, I thought I might share this slightly humorous look into the "London" bakery shop in Kyoto from way back when. Looking on Google Maps, it seems that unfortunately the shop isn't there any longer, so this photo actually has a modest documentary value as well.

Shot 10 years ago on my first iPhone, an iPhone 5.

iPhone street photography from Taitō ward (台東区, Taitō-ku) in Tokyo. Taitō is Tokyo’s smallest ward, yet it contains a lot of history, boasting major tourist magnets such as Asakusa's Sensō-ji Temple, Ueno Park, or the Ameyoko street market. But walk on any of its side streets, and you will discover homely and surprisingly quiet neighborhoods.
