I quit alcohol. I don't have many friends anymore but I a have won a clear mind and body.
Moreover I'm a better role model for my kids. How I'm gonna tell them to drink less or no alcohol when they see me every weekend with beer in my hands?
Kids judge you by your actions not your words more then adults.
True, there is much less meaning in life. You also learn and grow so much as a person when you have kids. Some people will never experience this. In my case I think I would stayed a child forever without kids.
