It took nearly 40 years for email to happen. Nothing of nostr is that original. But it implements the simplest thing using all the tech we have. Self sovereign messaging was not really practical without mass adoption of internet, elliptic curves, and the most important, rebellion against the advertising model of the internet, which has let spooks and public relations take over.

Here it's Bc (or BcA for arts, probably more of those variants idk), Mgr (and MgA and so on) or Ing for engineers, then Doc. for docents and after doing tons of academic stuff the president names professors. Private relays make it possible to de-couple the data layer from the interface for private apps

Example: if you use bitwarden, you are stuck with the bitwarden API, but maybe you like the lastpass interface better

But if your passwords are stored on your private relay, you can swap between any interface you like without having to do imports/exports and installing new things

Basically static, app specific APIs can become obsolete with a good set of NIPs

does anyone else experience problems with terminal layout using VTE based terminals (tilix, gnome-terminal) and the `top` tool?

every so often it goes totally spaz and renders double linebreaks and ruins the output so it isn't readable
