Absolutely. It would be naive to think we'd never see this. A client will be developed or forked to support NIP-69 and they'll have their own sad little corner of nostr. Which is great, because it's an open protocol!

In order to drown out competing clients, we plan to encourage the Stacks community to create more NIP-69 capable clients with bounties.

Yes, it was. I wrote about how it's a bad thing the other day. It basically says don't use NIP-05 because it's centralized oh by the way, come use our centralized thing.
