"Palestine" is supposed to be on the same land as Israel, so - yes.
Dude, I've never touched you when you were a kid. You must be thinking of someone else.
Gaslighting? Then look at the map and tell me, what happens to the Jewish people in Israel, when the "from the river to the sea" people get their way. I'm listening.
Wow! I didn't expect nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vgkhjsen to boost antisemitism.
By that logic, my socks are better than #Bitcoin. Wanna buy some?
Also I can still call him Robert, even make fun of him without getting cancelled or physically attacked.
Did someone force you to post it? Blink twice if you're being held hostage by the meme terrorists.
Talvez no entiendo nada. O tal vez uso la planta capitalismo para referirme a distintas conceptos componse explica ellneste artículo.
https://www.filmsforaction.org/articles/libertarians-should-abandon-the-term-capitalism/
https://www.filmsforaction.org/news/why-advocates-of-freed-markets-should-embrace-anticapitalism/
Then why don't you take your own (article's) advice and stop using the confusing term "capitalism"?
I actually do agree with most of the article and prefer to use the term "free market" instead.
US healthcare is heavily regulated, so I don't understand, why are you trying to use it as an argument.
Anyway, I happen to live in one of those countries with universal healthcare and anytime I need something from a doctor, I pay out of pocket, because otherwise I'd wait for months, possibly getting care of dubious quality. And I'm still forced to pay for government insurance!
But this debate is same shit all over, everytime a statist tries to excuse the government, it's always one nirvana fallacy after another.
“On my given scenario, yes, it's specific, but no, it's not imaginary. It's something that happens fairly often to people with serious health issues.”
- I’m guessing that you’re from the US, as this situation does not occur anywhere else. I don’t know any other country where insurance is tied to employment. So this clearly is a problem of government regulation. I also know many people who are using private insurance from the global market and are very happy with it.
“while you don't explicitly agree that it is exploitive, you also notably don't say it isn't”
- That’s because “exploitation” is a very vague term. It cannot be clearly defined or measured. Is it exploitation to pay someone $1 a day? If so, should I check for the workers’ conditions anytime I buy coffee, t-shirt or anything else? Where does the responsibility lie? What if there’s no better alternative for the worker?
“As for donations, I think it's simply a matter of return on investment.”
- Just think about how much Musk did for Republicans in the last elections. Now imagine Bezos, Musk, Gates, Buffet and other super-wealthy would support Libertarians. That would be an easy win. The point is that free market doesn’t work for large corporations. They want government contracts, subsidies, patent protections and tailor-made tax loopholes, not free competition from smaller and foreign companies.
“As for corporations and concentration of power, I fundamentally disagree. This presupposes that the state predates wealth and allows for its accumulation.”
- No, I don’t think it does. In fact, it’s much easier to create wealth without the state. Also, if you’re concerned about concentration of wealth, you should check wtfhappenedin1971.com. It clearly shows how abolishment of gold standard (i.e. gov’t monopolization of money) created this exact issue.
“They want to stick their heads in the sand and pretend it's not an issue, but once someone gets rich enough to start hiring their own militia”
- Do you think that no one ever heard this argument? Here you have David Friedman (the son of Milton Friedman, Nobel prize laureate in economics) addressing this objection: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTYkdEU_B4o
“It's willfully ignorant of human nature.”
- It might seem that way to you, but that’s just because you don’t know much about underlying economic and social theories.
I’m ending the conversation here, because honestly, it’s tiresome to write answers that you can find with 5 minutes of googling. But feel free to post memes attacking a philosophy that you barely know anything about.
Regarding exploitation, you've given a very specific imaginary scenario, where the alleged exploitee already has a big disadvantage in life and his manager might or might not want to take advantage of it. Anyway, in such a situation I'd ask, why does he need to rely on insurance from his employer? Once again, the problem lies in government regulation. (Health issues too, but we understand that that's no person's fault.)
As for agorism, it's just a practical approach to fight against the government via countereconomics. Otherwise it's the same as ancap. Konkin based his philosophy on Rothbard.
As for your question about corporations and concentration of power, it's currently caused by government subsidies, artificially low interest rates (cheap money) and very favorable regulations. Once again, government is the problem, not the solution.
On a free market, smaller companies do better thanks to higher flexibility. You can clearly see it by where the corporate donations go: mostly to (big gov't) Democrats, almost nothing to (pro-market) Libertarians.
Maybe check out mises.org to see what these economists with PhDs think and decide, if ancap is really such a naive idea.
Most of them already seen how others are doing and wanted it too. It's not like it was some kind of secret.
Exploitation is when somebody systematically steals from my labor or wealth, so yes, it's mutually exclusive with consent.
Once again, I understand that they were poor, but that was the norm in those times. #Capitalism was (and still is) the solution, not the problem.
Btw. I've noticed that you like agorism, so this is kinda funny, since agorism and ancap are pretty much the same thing.
These people moved there voluntarily, because it was a better alternative than anything else. So, you see, your example actually works against your position. Capitalism, even in early undeveloped stage was preferred to the previous way of life. Human history is full of poverty and misery, but only capitalism was able to solve this and bring wealth to ordinary people.
Omg, I'm so exploited by cheap services and good job offers! I can't take it any more!!!1
Krajina != štát
Tá "svoja krajina" je taký zvláštny koncept. Ja si teda nespomínam, že by som vlastnil nejakú krajinu.
