I did watch/listen to Tucker/Putin today. This was not an interview. Tucker could not ask hard questions and Putin did not care to make the case for Russia. Putin brought Tucker there to satisfy a perverse psychological need to manipulate and dominate other people, to torment them. He is like Hannibal Lector. Putin's pleasure is in psychologically dominating, controlling, and tormenting others. With Tucker he got his prey to put it on video and he is getting off on the fact that he knows many around the world will watch him emotionally rape Tucker. It was ugly. It was evil. So, in summary, the amount of attention granted by Western audience, and especially Russia experts, to Putin’s interviews seems to surpass the amount granted by audience in Russia by an order of magnitude.

Also, while Russian audience remained generally unamused or ironic, Western audience approached Putins’ interview dead serious.
