I clearly remember studying ancient history at school, the teacher was great. She was knowledgeable and animated and I remember her telling us how the people would storm the senate, throw roof tiles at the politicians inside.
She really seemed to love that and I never forgot. I have thought since why that no longer is a thing.

Did a lot of Dogwatch's in my younger days then.
People still see value in it and would accept it, just don't hold more than you'll need for a short term emergency, 3 months without a job etc.
They do, my wife thought my talking about prepping etc was dumb, but as a mother she did it all anyway, mum's are natural preppers for their kids. She's now all in on food storage and back up power.
In relation to this, I've finally turned a good friend into a prepper, although he wouldn't call himself one.

I've been working on him for years, he's suddenly got a gun licence, bought guns (he's never used them before) and is now trying to buy a huge bush location. Can't wait to see what he gets and start to build up a little retreat for our group.

Spring is certainly on its way, in more ways than one.
The sun is noticeably warmer, brighter and is out more often, telling me I should start getting my seeds ready for the garden.
There seems to be a Spring, an awakening, in the people I meet lately also.
At different sites and places I converse with a range of people who are realising they have been had, lied to, deceived. Although they don't realise it, they talk to me in the language of the anarchist, the prepper, about growing their own food, becoming self-sufficient, breaking away from the control of the systems.
It feels like a Spring awakening in many good ways.
