A friend of mine, here in Aus, has been relentlessly shitposting on UK copshops, the home office, politicians and others accounts over what is occurring there.

Today he's started receiving multiple phone calls from a London number. He thinks it's hilarious.

The real reason they want to find life on Mars is because it's not bothering anyone and just wants to be left alone and the governments of the world can't have that.

I read a study, that I wheel out to students often, that looked at the adolescent traits of successful people.

Self-control as a child was the key element for succes later in life.

Here some personal faves:

- Everyone knows you're a fraud

- that person you dated 20 years ago laughs about you with their friends

- every lump is stage 4 cancer

- you are ineffective at everything you do

I'm working from this book, heaps of different recipes in it.

It's basically a medium cabbage and a tablespoon of salt. Chop the cabbage finely, add the salt and knead/crush in a bowl until you get lots of liquid. Then into a jar, weighing the cabbage down under the liquid, for 5-7 days at room temp.

One change is I would let the salted cabbage sit for an hour or so to let the salt work before I crushed.
