They come in to eat chook scraps, I was locking the chooks up and he was in trees above, just a stream of piss on my head.

Ice sheet starts to form over England, but still hottest summer ever!

Film, movies have always been an important part of my life, an escape, a look into other worlds.

But I've realised today, after a little research, how important the years 1986-1988 were. For me they are the best years in film. My humour, language, views on culture, relationships, mental health and many other things, stem a great deal from my love of films from this time.

As a boy at the time my mum took me to films I still watch and have introduced to my kids. Short Circuit, Labyrinth, An American Tale, Three Amigos, Harry and the Hendersons, Innerspace, The Princess Bride, *Batteries Not Included, Beetlejuice, Willow, Big, to name a few classics. It was a really positive and formative experience in a world of chaos and fear outside.

As a teenager I came across many other films I love, and many came from these three years. Highlander, Top Gun, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Big Trouble in Little China, Aliens, Platoon, Lethal Weapon, Predator, The Lost Boys, Red Heat, Coming to America, Die Hard, Young Guns.

For me this was the best period of film making, but what other years do others love?

Agreed, I thought a few people had left, but then it seems they've been noting the entire time and in just don't see it.
