#31days

Hours of weeding, moving rocks from an overgrown herb spiral and moving in mulch in preparation to cover the area. I'm hoping to use the area more over spring and summer, with a more open area with seating. Maybe even a small garden bed for quick production of lettuce etc.

Smashed physically now, but made some good progress.

We gave flying kangaroos, it's amazing

Some fathers day gifts my family gave me this morning. I don't care for all the invented 'days' but the kids like it.

The likeness of me my daughter captured in her picture on the frisbee is fairly accurate. My wife also nailed a gifting again, The Fourth Turning, so I've something to read compulsively over the next few weeks.

What is it with the need to remake classic or cult films?

Other than money, why do they think they can make a better version, I can't think of any remakes that are better than the original, there are probably some, but not many.

A new version of the 'The Crow' has been made and without watching it I can tell it'll be shit and not as good as the original. One reason is the soundtrack of the original, that was an epic soundtrack and worked with the film so well.

GFY hollywood

Yeah we're stupid.

Started #31days a little early.

My wife, dad and I moved 1.5 tonnes of mulch by hand, took a few hours and I'm munted. My Dad is 81 and he kept up with us, his mouth moved as fast as his shovel as he gave me shit the whole time 😂

Ageing tip, don't stop having things to do. My dad retired two decades ago, but instead of sitting down, he's kept busy and active. He's always out and about with his projects, they are insane and usually involve crazy unfinished projects, visiting shops and accusing staff of hiding what he wants out the back and generally wasting his money of cheap shit from Aldi. But, he's busy, his mind is still sharp and he can fuckin shovel mulch!

It's not for me, all I can see is the gladiatorial combat of Rome, bread and circuses, blood and gore to entertain the plebs as the empire crumbles.

Although, I'd probably watch the little Irish nutter go a few rounds with men who stone women to death.

Yeah, apparently the watch only connects to Garmin when you do updates etc, otherwise it just doing its job. I like the non-google operating system too.
