I understand replacing Github project management with something nostr-based, but what makes replacing email necessary? If the goal is reduce dependency on centralized platforms, wouldn’t self-hosting an email server with mailing lists also work for this purpose? Or perhaps something that connects emails to nostr and vice versa?

In either case, nostr:npub1g7j38pndthqgguqjft6zdgccqfhc0xvwgudpgtjyr5p8kdw7t4sqpqlqqt reported that he cleared cache completely and it only went down from 27GB to about 17GB, so something else must be consuming a significant chunk of storage. nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s, do you think it’s possible that NostrDB could get that big?

Total size is about 1.5GB, 1GB of that is just contact lists (🤯 remind me to prune these)
Fulltext search index is 67mb for 211,513 text notes 🤌
